Gracies Bark

On the one hand its good she doesn't bark, because that can be very annoying and if someone is coming in with a sleeping baby the last thing you want to wake him up is a barking dog. On the other hand aren't dogs supposed to bark at intruders. Is she so welcoming that if some unwanted person comes to my home will she allow him in? She's still young, but I worry about her welcoming personality. I've yet to see a mean streek, which is wonderful, but I haven't seen a protective streek either. Hopefully even if she has one it will never come into play, but I wonder will it ever?
