The best colors for labs!

There are three basic colors for labrador retrievers black, yellow and chocolate. Of course there are many variations, but for now we will just focus on the best color accessories for each one. I personally have a yellow lab, so I'll start with her.

She looks beautiful in pink. Had I opted for a male yellow lab, I would probably darn him in red. It adds that splash of color, but not too cutsie for a male dog. I prefer cloth, but I suppose leather would work well too.

From personal experience, I found pink to be pretty on black labs too. Before she passed away, my black lab, Jasmine, wore pink as well. She also looked good in hunter green. For a male black lab, I would choose the traditional black or royal blue. I once put blue on Jasmine and found it gave the impression that she was a boy dog.

I don't have personal experience with a chocolate lab, but in my opinion would have to be yellow for a girl or a boy. Yellow would match the brown fur well. And of course pink would be nice for girls and for a boy I would opt not to do blue, I would choose yellow!
